purgeMS

Usage

This message is sent by a VLR to a HLR to inform it that the mobile terminal is no longer reachable. This can happen because the mobile terminal failed to communicate with the network or (optional) because a cancelLocation was received.

Expected actions

The HLR must check if the terminal is currently known at the VLR sending the request. If so it must delete the location information and mark the mobile terminal unreachable. If the terminal is already registered to another VLR no action must be taken.

Invoke parameters

• imsi – IMSI of the SIM card

• vlr-Number – VLR identification string / number

• sgsn-Number – SGSN identification string / number

• extensionContainer – Container for various extensions
