These functions are used by network components of the mobile operators to authenticate a cell phone that is roaming in their network and establish a trust relation with their SIM cards.
In mobile networks an Authentication Center (AuC) performs these services:
- sendAuthenticationInfo - send authentication info
- authenticationFailureReport - authentication failure report
